Rockford IL - Medical Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Step-Down ICU Nights 7P-7A

Location: Rockford IL 61103

Assignment Start Date: 4/18/2024

8 weeks Nights 12hour shift 36 hours guaranteed weekly

Seeking an experienced RN for our Medical Surgical Cardiac Telemetry and StepDown ICU units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques policies and procedures standards of care and State laws/practice acts.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops initiates and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities which may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise & guidance to other units/departments in support of the patients longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Extensive Cardiac experience is required!
• Must have 2 years of RN experience

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• IL RN licensure required
• Must have CPR ACLS & NIHSS

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: will require every other weekend & holiday and 12hour shifts (Nights 7P7A).

Float Requirement: will float between Medical Surgical Cardiac Telemetry and StepDown ICU.
