Overview:
As an ICU Staff Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing highquality care to critically ill patients. Your expertise in critical care nursing will be vital in monitoring evaluating and managing patients with lifethreatening conditions ensuring their wellbeing and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and monitoring patients vital signs and symptoms
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing urgent care as needed
- Documenting patients medical histories and progress
- Ensuring compliance with medical protocols and regulations
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Operating and maintaining medical equipment
- Participating in patient advocacy and ethical decisionmaking
- Conducting patient assessments and reevaluations
- Monitoring and adjusting life support equipment
- Assisting in diagnostic procedures and surgeries
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Active RN license
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or ICU setting
- Proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS)
- Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in highstress situations
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends
