Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients medical histories and physical conditions.
• Develop customized treatment plans to address each patients unique needs.
• Administer or prescribe nonsurgical interventions such as medication injections and physical therapy.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients progress and responses to therapy.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on managing their conditions.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess and monitor patients functional abilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Stay updated on advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Participate in research activities and contribute to academic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Completion of residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Board certification in PM&R from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• State medical license and eligibility for medical practice.
• Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Proficiency in prescribing and managing medication for pain and spasticity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with colleagues.
• Ability to analyze complex medical information and make informed decisions.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Empathy patience and a compassionate approach to patient care.
