Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline or formal academic vocational or military training
- 7 years of experience
- Understanding of radio frequency (RF) principals
- ISCET certification will be required within 6 months of starting
- Must qualify for and maintain security clearance and possess a current driver’s license

About the Role
The Radio Field Technician will manage all installation maintenance and equipment upgrades that will support operations in radio television NAVAIDS and weather systems.
Responsibilities
Design installation maintenance troubleshooting and certification of systems:
- Equipment for groundtoair radio communications across UHF VHF and HF frequencies.
- Remote radio control systems managed through widearea servers.
- Operations centers and switching equipment for Air Traffic Control.
- Networks for P25 Land Mobile Radio including RF repeaters and portable radios.
- Serverbased Digital Voice recording systems and associated equipment.
- Digital cable television headend systems encoders fiber transmitters and satellite downlink systems.
- Distribution systems for cable including fiber optic RF coaxial and CAT5e/6;6e technologies.
- Antenna systems and grounding/bonding systems for UHF VHF and HF frequencies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of CISCO communications equipment
- Thorough understanding of relevant engineering principles and familiarity with associated engineering disciplines.
- Practical knowledge of testing methodologies and procedures capable of conducting routine to complex engineering tasks and making minor adjustments to standard test protocols or equipment instructions.
- Competence in utilizing fundamental testing equipment.
- Comprehension of general electronics electromechanical systems and computer technology.
- Basic grasp of networking and telecommunications technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Skillfulness in planning and organizing tasks.
- Excellent technical proficiency.
- Willingness to undertake field maintenance responsibilities.
- Ability to obtain certification in tower climbing and rescue skills.
