Data Quality Engineer

As a key member of the Global Software Engineering team you should possess excellent test planning and testing skills for Data Platform/Data Pipeline and Dashboard/Reports. This position requires very good experience in data warehouse testing and visualization tools testing with strong data analytical skills SQL and very good understanding in data pipeline workflows and visualization dashboards. The candidate should also have experience working with complex largescale relational databases and other tools to compile and interpret quantitative data. Candidate is required to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools need to design test and deploy effective test automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively participate in evaluation and review software requirements with Developers Business System Analyst (BSA) and to define complete test plan and test scenarios.

Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals fulfill user requirements and identify existing or potential issues.

Well versed in doing Data warehouse testing Integration Backend Black box and White Box testing.

Generate and write clear and concise Test summary reports and weekly status reports.

Skills Required:

BS/MS degree or equivalent with 8 years of software testing experience mainly in Data Pipeline/ETL and Visualization tools (Tableau Power BI Incorta)

Analyze and understand the data pipeline workflows.

Must be very strong in SQL and should be able to write complex SQL queries for validating business rules using Informatica (ETL)

Should have experience in validation of data transformations and perform EndtoEnd data validation

Strong in backend validation of reports developed using tools like Tableau Power BI or Incorta

Must possess very good experience in data analytical testing and good understanding of the data model

Experience on data platform tool Google BQ EXASOL will be plus

Must be able to work in a fastpaced team environment with minimal supervision.

Must have the ability to escalate issues in a timely manner.

Must possess strong technical problem solving project coordination and analytical skills; Defect tracking till closure.

Must have excellent written verbal presentation & documentation skills to faster clarity and predictability.

Ability to work on multiple releases and multiple projects at the same time and to work in different time zones.

Must have skill to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests.

Using different automation tools candidate need to design test and deploy effective test automation solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a PowerBI Engineer or similar role. Proficiency in SQL and demonstrated expertise in data modeling. Familiarity with BigQuery concepts and its integration with PowerBI. Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. Proven track record of delivering high-quality PowerBI solutions that drive business impact.
