MustHaves:

• Graduate of an ST or LPN program
• Live within 30 minutes of the hospital for oncall duty
• Minimum of oneyear hospital experience preferred
• Prior Surgical Technologist experience preferred

Position Summary:
Performs assigned scrub duties assists with patient care and ensures optimum quality patient care using a team approach. The role involves technical and manual skills under the direction of the Circulating RN maintaining a clean environment communicating with charge nurses participating in continuing education and applying knowledge of agerelated factors to patients.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of a Program for Surgical Technology or candidate must have had 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist prior to the requirement of a Surgical Technologist Diploma

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days

Minimum Work Experience:

A minimum of oneyear hospital experience as an Operating Room Technician with a service orientation and the ability to understand and react effectively to the surgical needs for all patient populations.
