IT Systems Specialist for a Finance and Structured Trade Bank in Malta

Our client a prestigious finance and structured trade bank in Malta is seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to join their team. The role primarily involves maintaining and supporting critical software applications within the bank. Responsibilities include managing the banks IT infrastructure ensuring system availability performing installations and upgrades resolving IT issues and implementing cybersecurity policies.

Tasks

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the banks IT infrastructure including hardware software applications virtualized environments networking and security devices.
• Ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure by monitoring and performing regular maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting IT operations liaising with thirdparty service providers when necessary.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies in alignment with industry standards.
• Contribute to the successful implementation of new IT projects and initiatives.
• Maintain uptodate documentation related to the banks infrastructure.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in IT or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure preferably in the financial services industry.
• Experience with core banking systems ETL databases and scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and architectures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems Active Directory Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of VMware/HyperV virtualization.
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
