About Rocket Learning

Rocket Learning is a highgrowth edtech nonprofit with the mission of catalyzing early childhood education and community engagement in India. We link the government systems teachers and daycare workers with parents and communities using technology media and social influence techniques. Rocket Learning is partnering at scale with state governments in Maharashtra Haryana Uttarakhand Chandigarh Delhi UP and MP to impactyearold children in 90000 schools and Anganwadis.
Title: Regional Coordinator / Trainer
Location: Delhi Mohali Lucknow Bangalore Indore Guwahati Note: Travel will be required
Years of Experience: 37 years
Contract tenure: 6 Months


Overview This is a contractual role with the objective of conducting training programmes and coordinating training activities being conducted in multiple states for functionaries involved in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Nutrition. The candidate will be working closely with the Content and National Initiatives and Policy Team (NIP Team).

Key Results
  • Conduct training programmes for ECCE and Nutrition with support of the Content team
  • Ensure timely reporting of insights and training details to the NIP team
  • Coordinate with relevant government stakeholders

Key Activities and Responsibilities
  • ECCE Training
  • Conducting training programmes for block and field level functionaries on ECCE and Nutrition including CDPOs Block Coordinators Supervisors and Anganwadi Workers based on provided materials focused on activitybased pedagogy for playbased learning
  • Familiarity with the ICDS program and its objectives and structure
  • Extensive travel required to nearby States for conducting training programmes in the field
  • Project Implementation/Management
  • Coordination with Headquarters team in Delhi and Regional Office
  • Providing logistical or technical support to government stakeholders in order to ensure smooth implementation of project
  • Using techbased monitoring tools and platforms and handling data
  • Managing multiple tasks and priorities with diverse stakeholders effectively
  • Taking ownership of the project workstreams and managing it endtoend
  • Performing other relevant day to day operational tasks

Required skills and background
  1. Essential
  2. Academic Qualification
Post Graduation in a relevant field such as education social sciences business administration management or a related discipline
  1. Relevant Work Experience and Skills
Minimum 3 years of working experience in projects related to subject matter expertise i.e. education nutrition etc. Good working knowledge in Microsoft office suite / Google Workspace. Excellent communication/presentation/training skills.
  1. Language Proficiency
Fluency in at least one local language for training in the relevant states (see table below)
Good working fluency in English/Hindi for central coordination

  2. Specific experience in early childhood care and education (ECCE) and/or Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)
  3. Experience of working with Central / State Governments
  4. Additional local language proficiency
  5. Willingness to learn
