Industrial Designer Packaging Design

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative packaging concepts that align with brand messaging and marketing objectives
• Collaborate with product development and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and costeffectiveness of designs
• Utilize 3D modeling software to create prototypes and visualize design concepts
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform design decisions
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for packaging production
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and prototype packaging
• Manage multiple packaging design projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery
• Contribute to sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging solutions
• Present design concepts and prototypes to internal stakeholders and clients
• Participate in packaging testing and validation to ensure product safety and integrity

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree/diploma in Industrial Design Packaging Design or related field
• Proven experience in packaging design preferably in consumer goods industry
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks Rhino or similar
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to packaging
• Excellent graphic design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and branding
• Project management and time management skills to handle multiple projects
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams
• Knowledge of sustainability principles and experience in ecofriendly packaging design
• Experience in conducting market research and trend analysis
• Strong presentation and visualization skills to articulate design concepts
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to packaging
• Portfolio demonstrating successful packaging design projects
• Ability to adapt to fastpaced and evolving product development environments
