Operations Manager Ukraine

Role purpose:

The Operations Manager is part of the Operations Department running the operational side of the implementation of company projects in the sphere of evaluation monitoring research and other types of projects.

Reporting to: Country Director / Ukraine

Supervising on: Field Teams/Staff

Hybrid Work System: Physical Workspace & Remotely

• Team Leadership: Supervising and managing a team which will involve recruitment training and performance evaluations.
  
• Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  
• Resource Management: Efficiently allocating and managing resources including staff equipment and budget.
  
• Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the organizations goals.
  
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Managing budgets and controlling operational costs.
  
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating operational risks to minimize disruptions.
  
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.
  
• Performance Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve operational performance.
  
• Problem Solving: Addressing operational challenges and finding practical solutions.
  
• Safety: Providing field security updates contributing to a safe and healthy working environment for team members.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
  
• Reporting: Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on operational performance.
  

• Proven previous experience (3 years) of working in Field Operations.
  
• Proven previous experience of working in the safety and risk management sector.
  
• Tertiary education (bachelor s degree minimum) prefer to be in a related field.
  
• Strong leadership skills with a participatory coordination style.
  
• Strong analytical skills including with Excel.
  
• Excellent communication and influencing skills and strong remote management skills.
  
• English language skills both spoken and written.
  
• Well organized with an ability to handle a high workload and to work independently.
  
• Capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in field working circumstances.
  
• Previous experience working in humanitarian programmes.
