Department: Medsurg

Shift Timing: 19:00 - 07:30 Monday to Friday 3 days 12-hour shift

Per Week: 36 Hours

3 Months Contract

Unit descriptions: 18-20 bed surgical/med surg unit - Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4-1:6

Patient population: general surgery post-ops and med-surg

Beds per unit- 18-20 Other staff/resources on the unit: LPN/PCT/Unit Secretary

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Certifications & Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

• Required a minimum of 1 year of Experience

• 2 Professional Reference
