Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by a Plumbing and Mechanical Service Provider to recruit for a Procurement Manager. In this new role, reporting to the President, the Procurement Manager will play a critical role in overseeing all negotiations with vendors for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the company. They will be responsible for providing the most up to date material delivery information to the installation teams. This role is to provide both internal and external customers with the highest quality support and timely delivery of materials.

This company is a premier multi-family plumbing and mechanical subcontractor service provider based in Denver, Colorado, serving the entire Denver area. With extensive knowledge and experience, they deliver exceptional plumbing and mechanical services and cater to various clients including homeowners, builders, contractors, business owners, property management companies, and real estate agencies. Their commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction have been their driving force since their establishment’s creation with their family legacy spanning two generations. Their goal is to provide top-notch service, attention to detail, and cost-effective solutions, ensuring their customers receive the best experience possible.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project setup and procurement functions for multiple commercial and multifamily projects.
  • Facilitate product handoff between the procurement team and installation teams.
  • Excellent technology skills with the ability to manage, organize, and maintain a database of all company vendors and projects; emphasis on attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Develop and manage trade contractor relationships.
  • Ability to own the vendor selection and management process, including negotiating scope, price, and subcontract terms.
  • Develop and implement procurement and purchasing processes within the company and partnering with vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to find efficient and innovative ways to overcome challenges; includes having a forward-thinking mindset.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain product incentive and rebate programs.
  • Hiring and training of purchasing staff as needed.
  • Proven experience negotiating lower or lowest pricing.
  • Create pricing sheets to be used by each business unit.
  • Resolves issues with regard to any disputes relating to scope of work and change orders.

Qualifications:

  • 3 + years proven experience in a purchasing role, with construction products with an emphasis on plumbing products, preferred combo of HVAC and plumbing products.
  • Knowledge of the commercial and multifamily service industry and related regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:

  • $130,000 - $170,000

Bonus:

  • Bonus Eligible
