Accounts Payable

Braswell Family Farms in Nashville, NC has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist.This person will primarily be responsible for accounts payable transactions but will be crosstrained in accounts receivable, month end close activities as well as cross training in otherdepartments such as Transportation. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Entering and coding vendor invoices.

Maintaining vendor master files including setting up new vendors.

Processing vendor payments via check, ACH, and wires.

Processing credit card statements and employee expense reimbursements.

Reconciling bank accounts.

Reconciling general ledger accounts and posting month end transactions.

Processing sales tax and 1099 forms.

Assisting the office with covering reception.

Maintaining accounting files in an organized manner.

Back up for accounts receivable including posting customer remittances, preparing dailybank deposits, tracking, and investigating payment discrepancies, and following up onpast due accounts.

Back up for recording and processing payroll.

Other accounting and office related tasks.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication skills phone, email, in person.

Professional appearance and attitude with a strong customer service focus.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.

Highly proficient computer skills including accounting software programs and Microsoft

Office products, especially Excel.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Associate degree in accounting or related field.

Minimal travel.
