Job description

Hi there!
We are Semrush, a global IT company developing our own product a platform for digital marketers.
And this is our Sales Trainer (EMEA/APAC) for those who are goal and success-oriented.

Tasks in the role

  • Facilitate virtual training and/or perform role play followed by feedback and coaching with newly hired sellers.
  • Design a training session and gather feedback from SMEs and leadership, ultimately gaining approval to deliver to the entire team of sellers in new hire training programs or ongoing weekly continuing education trainings.
  • Conduct a Seller Certification test with a new hire to ensure they are field ready.
  • Help a seller strategize how to find the best prospects in their territory to expand new product sales into.
  • Review outbound prospecting emails being sent by sellers and provide coaching and/or examples of how to improve messaging.
  • Proactively improve upon existing coaching tools and methods in collaboration with other team members and other departments.
  • Leveraging our Sales Enablement Platform, design a digital playbook that integrates with seller s CRM.
  • Create a micro-learning video courses to help the team adopt a new sales play and/or use a new sales tool.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

  • English level C1 and higher.
  • Experience in a quota carrying, deal closing role - for a technical focused solution
  • 5+ years in a Sales Enablement or Sales Training role
  • Past history working for a SaaS company
  • Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDPICC, Sandler, SPIN, Command of Message and/or Challenger, etc.
  • Capacity to quickly digest complex content and break it down into simple learning experiences
  • Demonstrated presentation, training and coaching skills
  • Deep empathy for sales and sales processes with ability to command a room of well-tenured sales reps
  • Hands-on experience as an admin user with enablement and sales technology including: CRM (Salesforce), Sales Engagement Platforms (Sales Loft/Outreach/Gong), Conversation Intelligence (Chorus.ai), Sales Enablement Platform (Highspot/Showpad/BTC)
  • Instructional design experience is a plus
  • Up to 5% travel required

Semrush is looking for a rockstar Sr. Sales Trainer!

We need to find someone who loves the science and art of selling, and is passionate about coaching sellers to success! This individual will have prior sales experience and a proven track record of success in a Sales Enablement or Sales Training role. S/He will put their experience to work supporting our revenue teams: Sales and Customer Success based in the EMEA/APAC region. Referred to as sellers in the job description.

The Sr. Sales Trainer will have a critical role in continuously improving existing training programs and building new training programs. S/He will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive sales skills/methodology curriculum exists for our EMEA/APAC region while collaborating with the greater Sales Enablement team to ensure alignment across our global curriculum.

S/He will have first hand involvement in building and delivering training, helping sellers execute our sales playbook with real customers, and strategizing with sales leadership on how to improve seller performance. Through these activities, it is expected that the Sr. Sales Trainer will identify gaps in sales skills/methodology training in the EMEA/APAC region which they will work with the Sales Enablement team to address. Also, given local engagement with learners in the EMEA/APAC region, the Sr. Sales Trainer will also act as a liaison to bring to Director, Sales Enablement or other subject matter experts, the training gaps identified to improve and/or globally align other critical training areas such as: product knowledge and business processes/sales tech.

The bottom line: We re all about performance not academics. The Sr. Sales Trainer will design, manage and deliver virtual training and coaching in order to help sellers be more effective and efficient in their interactions with customers.
