الوصف الوظيفي
- Developing and implementing drilling procedures to ensure safe operations and minimize environmental impacts
- Consulting with clients about the most effective ways to drill for oil, gas, or minerals based on geological data
- Maintaining accurate records of drilling activities to help ensure regulatory compliance with state laws
- Preparing drilling logs and other reports on drilling activities as required by state agencies
- Recommending measures to prevent well blowouts, such as installing safety valves or pressure sensors on wells
- Ensuring that all drilling equipment is properly assembled, maintained, and operated
- Conducting geological surveys to identify mineral deposits or other natural resources that could be extracted through drilling
- Conducting tests to determine the composition of rock samples collected from drilling sites
- Consulting with clients regarding the design, installation, and maintenance of oil rigs, pumps, compressors, storage facilities, pipelines, and other equipment used in drilling operations
