Our client is tasked with supporting and maturing the Army's next generation of ground combat vehicles.
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities include:
- Maturing the vehicle design and integrating various electrical/electronic components and vehicle architectures related to power generation, power distribution, cabling, and communication equipment.
- Applies knowledge of multiple engineering principles and disciplines, including customer understanding as well as in-depth knowledge of assigned product or technology areas in guiding and reviewing project direction and outcomes.
- Maintains state-of-the-art familiarity with industry practices, trends, and applications to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.
- Conceptualizes, creates, and analyzes designs to ensure technical outcomes are consistent with customer and company requirements.
- Experience using lab test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, CAN bus diagnostics tools, and data acquisition such as LabVIEW for testing and verification, is required.
- Experience with vehicle networks such as CAN and Ethernet is required.
- Experience with electrical schematic captures and simulation tools like SPICE is required.
- Familiarity with DC and AC military specifications or commercial automotive power standards and testing requirements is required.
- Experience with electronics at power levels greater than 50kW and voltages greater than 600V is highly desired.
- Experience with the latest Li-Ion battery topologies, Battery Management Systems (BMS), sensors, CAN bus communication, and solid-state power switching devices is desired.
- The integrated product team (IPT) environment of this project requires excellent teamwork skills, technical writing skills, and oral communication skills.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a lab environment with high voltage and high current components.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

- Experience in conducting structured design trade studies.

- Experience with electronics at power levels greater than 50kW and voltages greater than 600V is desired.
- Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, CAN, thermal DAS, DAC/ADC converters) for testing and verification.
- The successful candidates will have built and tested project end items.
- Experience in creating electrical block diagrams and schematics using E-CAD tools.
- Experience with integrating and testing Battery Management Systems used for advanced chemistry batteries.
- Experience in EMI and EMC as it relates to component integration and test in an automotive or military platform.
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years' experience with BS. Three (3) years experience with MS.
Education
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
