TPF Recruitment are supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Dover, who are looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their experienced team across a mixed accounts and tax portfolio. Our client is a multi-sited firm of chartered accountants who have a fantastic reputation, and they have been established in the Kent market for many years.They have a great, relaxed working environment, and can offer a very clear progressive opportunity within the team.
As an Accounts and Tax Manager, you will report directly into the partners and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies. You will have the autonomy to manage your own portfolio and you will have a very clear opportunity to progress in your role, should you wish. This is a great position with a really nice business who promote an excellent work life balance.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts, corporation, partnership and personal tax returns
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns
- Managing your client portfolio and client relations
- Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers
- Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required
Requirements
- You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3-5 years experience within practice.
- You will have worked as a Senior accountant / Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT.

Previous payroll administration experience within an accountancy practice or bureau. CIPP qualified, studying or qualified by experience.
