Control- M

Position: Control-M Administrator

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Remote role)

Responsible for supporting various software products used to provide automation of processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of critical Enterprise production systems

Strong experience with Control-M or similar automated scheduling software (e.g., design, configuration & troubleshooting, installation, upgrades, vendor interaction, etc.)

Perform batch job definition, setup, and execution using Control-M or similar automated scheduling software

Participate in knowledge sharing with team members & group problem resolution

Train other teams and IS staff in how to best utilize the Control-M tools suite, enabling a self-service environment

Detect, isolate, and identify system/application issues

Application of strong analytical skills to solve large-scale problem

Familiarity with large-scale change management tools and workflow

Enforce shop standards to ensure audit compliance

Accurately promote and schedule jobs according to programmer job documentation

Have a knowledge of basic scripting for distributed systems

Provide after-hours support in an on-call role

Qualifications

5 - 10 years' experience in support of Control-M or similar tool(s) used for Enterprise batch scheduling

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience)

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are needed to work effectively with a wide variety of clients, outside consultants, and vendors

Must be client-focused and collaborate with engineers, developers, and infrastructure teams to provide a reliable and dynamic set of services

Proficient in Microsoft Windows products (Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel)

Experience with BladeLogic, Ansible, or related tools a plus

Strong organizational and leadership skills
