Senior System Administrator - Australian Citizen

ThePlatforms team is responsible for:

• Network management including server and communications management, access to network, systems and user management;
• All communications including data network, telephony, videoconferencing, and Teams Rooms;
• management of a hybrid environment.
• Maintenance of the SOE through desktop computer management and computer peripheral support.
• print server software, SQL databases and DevOps systems.

The SeniorSystem Administrator monitors and maintains the Tribunal s server, network and communications infrastructure to ensure a high degree of availability and reliability. This includes identifying and implementing system improvements and initiatives. This role also includes mentoring of junior System Administrators

Criteria

Essential criteria1.
Experience in Systems Administration a. Demonstrated experience (minimum of three years) in a Microsoft network environment with in-depth knowledge of servers, network communications, active directory, SQL, DevOps and security issues. b. Relevant training or qualifications in Microsoft and Citrix systems c. Demonstrated experience in developing and analysing system reports

Problem solving and analytical skills a. Demonstrated experience in providing 3rd level and above support in relation to networking, data systems, infrastructure, communications and complex issues.

Professional/Technical capabilities a. Demonstrated experience in technology assessments, solution design, analysis, and implementation of new technologies, solutions and/or practices. b. Ability to lead and manage the system development life cycle c. Experience implementing a range of projects across a variety of technologies. d. In depth knowledge of DevOps and Agile ways of working e. In depth knowledge of SQL or MySQL

4.
Communication and liaison skills a. Strong customer service focus, initiative and the ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. b. Demonstrated experience in documenting IT architecture c. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff

Flexibility and initiative a. Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple time demands with limited supervision; b. Ability to learn new technologies and practices quickly, and apply this knowledge to the work environment c. Ability to respond to changing work demands and circumstances.

6.
A tertiary or industry qualification in at least one applicable discipline is required.

Desirable criteria1.
Experience with PowerApps, Scripting and D365 would be highly regarded
