Surveyor - Field and Office

Education and Experience

• Valid drivers license


• Microsoft office products


• 4 years surveying experience or education


• Field equipment use, care, maintenance (preference for Trimble systems)


• Data collection, note keeping


• CADD systems Bentley Open Roads Designer (AutoDesk Civil 3D understanding)


• ODOT surveying and mapping, right of way plan development


• Part 107 pilot license preferred but not required.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Records research


• Control surveys


• Topographic and boundary surveys


• Monument recovery (centerline, right of way, property)


• Data processing, analysis, mapping


• Resolution of rights of way, property boundaries, and easements


• Legal description preparation and closure reports


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team or as a team leader

Physical Requirements

This position does require walking long distances, climbing hills, using a sledgehammer and other tools, traversing rugged terrain, doing field work in outdoor environment with all weather conditions.
