Manual QA Engineer (m/w/d)

We are seeking a diligent Manual QA Engineer (m/f/d).

You will ensure that we deliver high-quality products to our customers. We aim to provide an outstanding customer experience with market-leading efficiency.

Your Role in our team:

• Testing our applications on different levels.
• Create the testing architecture in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• You think outside the box to identify edge cases and discover possible future issues.
• You stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Support the team with improving our products gradually.
• Increase your knowledge about Test automation.

Your Profile:

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• You understand how to test RESTful API endpoints.
• Excellent communication skills and strong analytical thinking.
• You have great spoken and written English, German is a big plus.
• Experience with automation tools would be plus.
• You are located in Germany, ideally in Berlin.

Target achievements for next couple of months:

• Being able to perform manual and regression testing of our platform
• Get fully onboarded on how our product works
• As part of our QA Team further improve our QA infrastructure and setup
• Start supporting our Automation Engineer by writing first small automation scripts
• Taking part in our agile cycle (planning, refinement, retrospective, etc.)

Experience in these areas will be a plus:

• You have been writing tests in Ruby (since our main stack is Ruby/Rails)
• Experience with cURL and a clear understanding of how to use it
• Experience in testing GraphQL API-s
• Experience in performance testing
• Experience in UI and usability testing
