Senior Validation Engineer/ Measurement Engineer (gn)

Your mission

Our team enables the capturing of TracePen movements and their use as input for robots. To further improve the setup and behavior of our tracking system including future sensor systems, we want you as measurement engineer. Your job extends far beyond mere measuring, and will include a broad range of challenging operational activities from planning and measuring to analysis.

What you do:

• You design and execute measurement series for the TracePen and other sensor systems in the future.
• You investigate and quantify the influencing factors of the system accuracy.
• You conclude guidance for best usage and best possible accuracy of our tracking system.
• You support the engineering team with proposals and data.
• You validate software features, including setups in use at the customer s site.
• You are responsible for the setup and maintenance of the test bench.
• You support the TracePen production with quality assurance of the hardware and are the contact person for the test bench located at our manufacturers' facility.

Your profile

What you need:

• You have in-depth professional experience in the fields of measurement technology and quality assurance. A university degree in engineering is desirable.
• You have experience with optical measurement systems and a deep understanding of optics and optical measurement techniques.
• You have Python knowledge for data analysis.
• You know best practices from the industry for different test methods.
• You already live in Dresden or are willing to relocate to the beautiful city on the Elbe.

A plus:

• You are willing to work on the test bench yourself and are able to implement setups.
• You are able to work independently, i.e. develop test procedures, carry out measurements and evaluate them autonomously.
• You can analytically and carefully define requirements, and document processes.
• You are communicative and are able to discuss insights and progress within the team and with stakeholders.
