Junior Developer

We re offering a position for a junior level backend developer who is excited to advance their skills to the next level. You will join a small and lean team where you will have a chance to make an impact right from the start. Setting is one of the leading flex office providers in Germany that operates a marketplace that aims to make space more accessible to startups and fast growing companies.

You will help extend our software components for modernizing the entire office rental experience from space discovery, contracting, and payments to handover, support and access processes. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn, open to new ideas and has a get it done attitude. We are a Ruby on Rails shop but it is not a requirement for your application.

Tasks

Hard skills

Fundamental knowledge of object oriented programming and relational databases. Experience or at least strong interest in data modeling and test driven methodologies. At least a few years of practical programming experience. Exposure to popular web development frameworks like Rails, Django, etc is a plus.

Soft skills

Software is a team sport. So besides a strong analytical and problem solving mentality, you should have a collaborative spirit and show responsibility and ownership towards colleagues and customers. Getting things done is a quality that we practice and appreciate throughout the company.
