Implement Department policies and follow the set processes in order to achieve the Department's objectivesHealth Information Management Activities
Review patient's records for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness of data and the overall adequacy and track patients' files from different locations throughout the medical centers.
Maintain confidentiality of patient's file and ensure that information only available to authorized personnel.
Liaise with other medical, dental and nursing services to clarify diagnoses and to obtain additional information to make sure that records are complete and accurate .
Implement the HIM system for the retention, monitoring and destruction of historical patients' files, and associated information.
Use classification software to assign clinical codes and record data electronically for collection, storage, analysis, retrieval, and reporting.
Ensure timely delivery of medical records (when required) to the medical clinics, dental clinics, and/ or other parties in coordination with the clerk in charged.
Provide clerical/admin support for requests to access health records and keep an accurate monitoring spreadsheet to track access to record requests
Liaise with Clinicians, Clerical Staff, internal and external parties for the retrieval, collation and dispatching of health records.
File health records into the main library and destroy outdated records on a periodic basis in line with Company's policies.
Maintain high standards of security by ensuring that office/store areas are locked up.
Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
