Process Engineer

• Engineer and optimize processes for upstream and/or downstream hydrocarbon units emphasizing Refinery and Petrochemical applications.
  
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine process designs.
  
• Conduct Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify potential hazards and operability issues in process systems.
  
• Provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks and improving overall safety.
  
• Utilize simulation software particularly Hysys to model and analyze various process scenarios.
  
• Optimize process parameters for efficiency costeffectiveness and environmental considerations.
  
• Apply flow assurance principles to ensure the integrity and reliability of hydrocarbon flow throughout the system.
  
• Identify and address potential flowrelated challenges such as hydrate formation and pipeline integrity.
  
• Prepare detailed process engineering documents including PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
  
• Communicate process design specifications and requirements to other engineering disciplines.
  
• Ensure that process designs comply with relevant industry standards codes and regulatory requirements.
  
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into the design process.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in process engineering for hydrocarbon units with a focus on Refinery and Petrochemical processes.
  
• Familiarity with HAZOP studies and the ability to lead or contribute effectively to such studies.
  
• Proficiency in process simulation software particularly Hysys.
  
• Flow assurance experience is considered an added advantage.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  
• Effective communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
