Role and Responsibilities:
As the GM of New Project Construction you will play a crucial role in planning executing and finalizing construction projects for our esteemed clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and managing the entire project construction process ensuring projects are completed on time within scope and within budget
  • Collaborating with architects and designers to ensure design specifications and brand standards are met
  • Managing the permitting process and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
  • Creating and managing project budgets tracking expenses and ensuring costeffectiveness
  • Monitoring construction progress ensuring workmanship and materials meet quality standards
  • Selecting and managing contractors and vendors overseeing their work and ensuring timely project completion
  • Regularly updating hotel management and stakeholders on project progress and any potential issues
  • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks to prevent delays and cost overruns
  • Handling changes in project scope schedule and costs effectively
  • Ensuring construction sites adhere to safety standards and regulations
  • Overseeing project completion and ensuring a smooth transition to hotel management
Candidate Qualifications:
To excel in this role you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or a related field (masters degree is a plus)
  • 10 years of experience as a construction project manager in the hotel industry or similar
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes materials and methods
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
  • Excellent project management skills including budgeting and scheduling
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
