About the Role:
The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting transactions ensuring accurate bookkeeping and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This role includes handling invoicing management accounting and the administrative aspects of the share settlement process for crowdsourced funding (CSF) raises. Additionally the Accountant will conduct initial reviews of offer documents particularly focusing on verifying financial statements against regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping and daytoday accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
- Handle invoicing payroll and manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Oversee management accounting including preparing financial reports and analyses.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards including Payroll Tax Superannuation BAS and IAS.
- Assistance with yearend statutory reporting.
- Administer the settlement process coordinating with registries and companies to issue shares for CSF raises.
- Conduct initial offer document reviews verifying financial statements against regulatory requirements.
- Assist with financial audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Provide subject matter expertise in payment related investor queries.
Requirements
- CA or CPA qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management preferably within an Australian Context.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero MYOB and similar tools as well as management accounting systems.
- Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in handling the administrative aspects of share settlement processes is a plus.
- Proactive self starter who is willing to take initiative.
