Operations Manager Malaysia

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations across various departments including Sales Production Supply Chain Procurement Planning Logistics and Warehouse.
• Drive strategies to increase profitability gain competitive advantage and boost local sales volumes.
• Continuously review and monitor sales performance ensuring sales targets align with company goals and objectives.
• Analyze production and operating reports to resolve issues minimize costs prevent delays and support future growth.
• Ensure that costefficiency quality standards and delivery timelines are consistently met.
• Resolve technical issues according to engineering specifications and ensure standard operating procedures are followed and updated.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles on the work floor including visual management standard work practices 5S methodology and layout optimization.
• Oversee production scheduling to ensure operations adhere to established timelines and production schedules.
• Lead initiatives to enhance production capabilities including adopting additive manufacturing techniques.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and issues ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained.
• Supervise shop floor management workforce management maintenance plant engineering scheduling and personnel management.
• Manage and supervise the manufacturing production teams within the Operations function ensuring effective workflow and output.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering Manufacturing or a related field; advanced qualifications are advantageous.
• 57 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in food packaging.
• Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems; strong knowledge of production processes and quality control.
• Proven leadership skills with experience in managing staff and fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong analytical skills for resolving complex production issues.
• Commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and continuous improvement.
