The company

Nebius AI is an AI cloud platform with one of the largest GPU capacities in Europe. Launched in November 2023 the Nebius AI platform provides highend trainingoptimized infrastructure for AI practitioners. As an NVIDIA preferred cloud service provider Nebius AI offers a variety of NVIDIA GPUs for training and inference as well as a set of tools for efficient multinode training.

Nebius AI owns a data center in Finland built from the ground up by the companys R&D team and showcasing our commitment to sustainability. The data center is home to ISEG the most powerful commercially available supercomputer in Europe and the 16th most powerful globally (Top 500 list November 2023).

Nebiuss headquarters are in Amsterdam Netherlands with teams working out of R&D hubs across Europe and the Middle East.

Nebius AI is built with the talent of more than 500 highly skilled engineers with a proven track record in developing sophisticated cloud and ML solutions and designing cuttingedge hardware. This allows all the layers of the Nebius AI cloud from hardware to UI to be built inhouse distinctly differentiating Nebius AI from the majority of specialized clouds: Nebius customers get a true hyperscalercloud experience tailored for AI practitioners.

The role

We are currently in search of Senior Machine Learning (ML) engineers with exceptional skill sets and a passion for large language models. Your invaluable contributions will play a pivotal role in shaping our advanced LLM stack.

In this position your responsibility will be to:

  • Conduct experiments with innovative deep learning methods to make our LLM products accurate convenient and reliable
  • Explore finetuning evaluation synthetic data generation and data retrieval techniques to strike the right balance between usefulness and complexity of various methods
  • Develop production components for the LLM platform

We expect you to have:

  • 4 years experience in a Machine Learning or AI related role
  • Substantial industrial or academic experience with large language models and generative AI.
  • A reliable intuition of the practical applicability of various machine learning and especially generative AI methods.
  • A good understanding of the theoretical foundations of machine learning.
  • Familiarity with modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
  • Proficiency in contemporary software engineering approaches including CI/CD version control and unit testing.
  • A commitment to maintaining extreme rigor in all jobrelated activities.

Additional Advantages:

  • Previous experience working with language models or other similar NLP technologies.
  • Track record of building and delivering products (not necessarily MLrelated) in a dynamic startuplike environment.
  • Strong engineering skills including experience in developing large distributed systems or highload web services.
  • Opensource projects that showcase your engineering prowess.
