Job Description

Junior/Intern Mechanical Engineer

Relocation support available

Have you been building or fixing products since you can remember?

Are you a graduate Mechanical Engineer who wants to contribute to the planning and development of both product and production processes?

Are you an ambitious Mechanical Engineer looking to build a career in a growing start-up?

This could be for you

Our revolutionary new water storage solution is set to disrupt a global industry with growing demand across agriculture, fire protection and drinking water supply.

Our product is more easily transported, installed and maintained yet priced below traditional concrete, plastic or galvanised steel alternatives.

We're now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join and help drive forward both our manufacturing process and product development.

Tasks

We are looking for a Graduate/Intern Mechanical Engineer at Deploy Tech to join the team and help in contributing to developing both our product and manufacturing process.

The role will be a paid internship, with the option to move into a salaried position, with equity and bonus, should the placement go successfully.

We have a pilot scheme in place with a pipeline of projects that need to be produced. You will work on these prototypes as you learn about our product and production process.

Once you have understood our current manufacturing process, you will support the design of the equipment and processes needed to make production quicker and less labour intensive.

Requirements

You'll have a minimum of a 2:1 from a Mechanical Engineering (or similar) course.

We're looking for entrepreneurial engineers who have done more than study. You'll need to have built or fixed projects in your spare time as well as your uni projects.

Our Mechanical Engineer should have previous experience in producing designs in CAD software such as SolidWorks.

We expect you to be a hands-on Mechanical Engineer, who is comfortable working with metal.

Any commercial experience would be desirable, but non-essential.

Benefits

  • We will support your development and help you learn new skills.
  • This is a growing startup where you can take on new responsibilities quickly.
  • You'll be working with and learning from an expert team.
  • Relocation assistance is available.
  • Catered lunches every day.
  • Opportunity to become salaried on a full-time contract, with share options and bonus.

We expect high volumes of applications for this role.

Please attach a cover letter explaining a bit more about the engineering you have done in the past. We're particularly interested in the things that don't make it onto your CV. We'd also love to hear about why you feel this specific position with Deploy Tech appeals to you.

Deploy Tech Ltd will never discriminate on the basis of gender, race, colour, religion or belief, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, or any other protected class.
